What is Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial intelligence (AI) systems are designed to imitate or replicate the cognitive functions of the human mind.

Think of AI as the “brain” inside modern devices and apps. With it, systems can recognize images, understand spoken language, learn from past experiences, give smart recommendations, and in some cases, act entirely on their own.

A well-known example is the self-driving car, which doesn’t need a person behind the wheel to make decisions on the road.

Artificial intelligence, or AI, is the science of building machines that can think and act in ways similar to humans. It’s the technology that gives computers the ability to learn, solve problems, make decisions, and even show creativity—all without constant human guidance. Artificial intelligence is reshaping the workplace by taking over the tasks no one wants to waste time on. From building presentations and fine-tuning design elements to polishing documents, AI cuts through the busywork and keeps workflows moving faster. Tech giants are already embedding OpenAI into their products to power new generative features, while teams everywhere are tapping into AI to supercharge their own internal operations.
